MUSEUM NIENOORD

April 17 to September 27, 2026

Art on and with paper

Paper is more than just a surface, and eleven artists demonstrate this in the exhibition PAPIER PAPIER at Museum Nienoord in Leek (just south of Groningen). Installations, collages, and objects together show the strength and vulnerability of this material. A number of my newest works are on display in this exhibition.

The OPENING is on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 4:00 PM in the North Hall (Garden Room) of the museum. Merlijn Neijenhuis and his dance group will open the exhibition.

Halfway through the exhibition, a publication will appear featuring photographs and an essay by Marjoleine de Vos – writer, poet, and art editor at NRC Handelsblad.

Participating artists: Josefien Alkema, Allie van Altena, Tim Blaauw, Peter Boersma, Peter Dijk, Rosa Everts, Kim Habers, Herman van Hoogdalem, Janke Klompmaker, Jeffrey Linker, and Tienke Zijlstra. With thanks to Toos Arends, Frank Abspoel, and the Beringer Hazewinkel Fund.
